Accessing the class
How do I access my class?
- Once you have paid your first invoice, you will receive an email to confirm your account on our platform.
- The platform will ask you for your name and email. Please write your own name.
- Once this step is completed, a window will appear with your course.
- At the top right you will see a box with the word JOIN LIVE CLASS. At the time of your class, click on it and you will enter your classroom.
- If your browser is not compatible, the platform will tell you what you need.
If the class has an access code. How do I put it in?
- If the administrator has opened the classroom including an access code, the app will ask for it when you try to enter.
- To get the code check the email with the class details. You will find it there.
- You can put it in the box manually or by copy and paste.
- If the class has not been programmed with a code, the request will not appear.
What do I do if I have connection problems?
- Analyze the internet speed at home. There are many, but we especially like the one in the link below because it seems the most realistic to us: https://www.speedtest.net/es
- The bandwidth used by IKADEMIA is optimized to offer the best experience depending on your network. If you are in the class with webcam and microphone: 2 Mbps upload, 2 Mbps download. With microphone only: 1.5 Mbps upload, 2 Mbps download. Without webcam or microphone: 1 Mbps upload, 2 Mbps download.
- Verify that you use the latest version of the Google Chrome or Firefox browsers.
- Check the headphones and microphone with which it connects and try to use it only with the computer’s microphone.
- Check if there is any update available for the PC or your microphone.
- Try connecting with another PC, either from another brand or from the same one.
- If nothing proposed works well, please tell us the brand and model of the device you are using so we can try to replicate your connection in the laboratory.
How to use screen controls during class?
- The different icons on the screen will easily activate or deactivate the functions you can use. Our recommendation is that when the class starts, to see the educational material that the teachers use in the largest possible size, the “list of attendees” is removed from the screen and, if it is not being used, the “chat” as well.
- For the class to be on par with a physical classroom experience, it is essential that the microphone and camera are always activated, it is necessary to authorize the use of the camera and microphone. During class, if at any time it is necessary, they can disconnect individually by simply clicking on the corresponding icon.
- In order to fully see the material shown, the student has a vertical scroll bar to the right of the displayed image with which they can move up and down the document to see the part of it that interests them.
If I cannot access the class, can I attend another one?
No. We record all our classes. If one day you can’t attend, you can watch the class when it suits you.
Billing
How do I pay my bill?
- You will receive an email from our payment facilitator Stripe.
- The email will present your invoice information and a button to pay it. Press the button.
- It will take you to a page to request your debit card information.
- If you give permission, you will only have to enter your data the first time
Is the payment system used by Ikademia secure?
Stripe has been audited by a PCI certified auditor and is PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. To achieve this, Stripe uses best-in-class security tools and practices to maintain a high level of security.
What are the payment terms?
You always have to pay in advance. You can pay monthly, or quarterly. If you pay per quarter you will receive a discount. All the information you need will be on your invoice.
How can I get a discount?
- For subscribing to our newsletter (only valid once per person).
- For recommending our service to your colleagues! If one of your friends gives us your name when signing up for our service, we will offer you a 5% discount when they pay for their first month. Only up to 20% discount can be applied per month.
I have not received my invoice, what do I do?

Do I get some of my money back if I leave the course halfway?
It is not possible to recover the amount paid, but you can leave the course on hold until your circumstances change and you can resume it
How long can I stop my classes?
Up to one year if you notify us in advance. Contact us through the form on our website or by email hola@ikademia.com.
The classes
What is the difference between a module, a workshop and a talk?
- The modules are classes that are developed in blocks of three months and that once completed, are expanded to other higher level modules
- Los talleres They are specialized courses lasting one month. A line of progress can also be created by completing higher level workshops.
- The chats They are conversation classes with a native teacher. Level B1, B2 or C1 is required to participate. If the group agrees, each attendee can request topics to talk about. If not, the teacher will direct the conversation.
Between what hours can I receive classes?
We have courses at different times throughout the week, however they are always between 08:00 in the morning and 22:00 at night. If you let us know the time slots that best suit you, we will do what we can to offer you a class that suits you.
Why are classes in small groups and not individuals?
We always orient the design of our programs towards learning, we want the maximum benefit for our students and we believe that in small groups we learn more, we listen to more questions and we get used to a greater number of different pronunciations.
Could I organize a private class, that is, only with my colleagues?

What is my Campus?
It is an area in which you will have additional material to work at your own pace, whenever you want, thus expanding the content of the classes.
How can I identify my level of Spanish?
Taking our level test, it will not take you more than 10 minutes.
What does it mean to be an official Cambridge Preparation Centre?
Cambridge considers us a center specialized in teaching English, which is also prepared to direct students to the Cambridge world to facilitate passing their level exams.
Will I receive a certificate when I finish my course with Ikademia?
When you successfully complete a “module” or “workshop”, IKADEMIA will give you a Diploma that certifies the course completed.
How to study Spanish?
To learn it easily you don’t have to make great efforts, you just have to have continuity. There is no point in studying for many hours every day if we “burn out” in a short time and stop after a few months. The important thing is not to skip classes and do the tasks that the teachers give us to have continuity in work. We organize them by modules to cover stages with short-term objectives that are motivating.
